Exhibitions & Events

Each year Koestler Arts holds exhibitions and events across the UK.  Since 2008, our annual UK exhibition has been held at Southbank Centre, the largest arts centre in the UK. Past curators have included Ai Weiwei, Camille Walala, Antony Gormley, Benjamin Zephaniah, Speech Debelle, Sarah Lucas, Grayson Perry, the families of prisoners and victims of crime.

We also hold regional exhibition, involving local groups and artists to shape the content, allowing more entrants’ families to see the artworks and aim to engage the artists’ local communities. Our events programme provides further opportunities to showcase the range of written, visual, spoken word and musical artworks entered into the Koestler Awards.
